is it Irony?
Ok so October 25, 2000 my grandma dies.
October 25, 2003 Cedar Fire starts. Burns 280,278 acres, 2,820 buildings (including 2,232 homes, killing 15 people. (I worked at Barona Casino which went on lock down for 3 days...In the middle of the fire, flames all around but a safe building.)
August 25, 2002 my best friend dies
August 25, 2010 fire starts in the same place as the Cedar fire. Strike teams have been sent. 75-100 acres so far with potential for a lot more.
My husband is at work...at Barona. They can already see smoke and his bosses have already informed me that he can not leave until there is no more smoke.
I Hate the number 25!

8 years ago today...
My best Friend Rebeca (Becky or Booty) was killed. 2 months earlier we had just graduated high school, a month earlier her dad committed suicide, and she was 10 days from turning 18.
She was having a hard time with the loss of her father so her mom headed up to Long Beach to finish up the arrangements for her dad and Becky was going to meet her up there. But she decided to go on a date (With her moms co-worker) and then head up. Well her date decided to take her to a drag race. This was Becky's first and last drag race. Right before the race a 3rd person in the vehicle said she was not feeling well so she got out of the car and someone else was going to take her home. 5 minutes later he lost control of the vehicle, it hit a tree, split in half and burst into flames.
Since her mom was out of town, her mom called me saying she thinks Becky may have been in an accident because she recognized the car that was in an accident. So I was calling around, then at 18 years old I her from the medical examiners office that in fact it was Becky. Right before the ME gave me the news her mom found out. It was then I was to call all of our friends to let them know what Happened. Very rough for me..still is as I am sure you can tell. I never have believed in drag racing so I could not believe my best friend was in one. I had a lot of anger at first and I was trying to be strong for our friends that I had to call and tell. I miss her dearly

Freezer Paper!
So, I have heard and watched a few people using freezer paper as stencils for t shirts. So today I tried my first one, then I did anther and anther! LOL. I love it and its pretty easy!
Here was my first for my son. He picked the colors
Then I made this one for my friend Shannon. She plays on a soccer team. Not Afraid to win is her team name so I made this for her daughter to wear!
